Our Response to COVID-19

Posted by

I wanted to share a picture my daughter-in-law texted this morning (Saturday, March 21st) of a peaceful corner she called her 'zen station'.

(Yes - those adorable munchkins are my granddaughters!)

Burning candles has been a tradition in my family since I started hand-pouring beeswax in our kitchen over 22 years ago. They have been a staple at family gatherings during happy times, brought us peace as my daughter Claire valiantly fought cancer for 4 years, and comfort since we lost her to leukemia in August 2016.

So many of you of offered us words of encouragement during those difficult days. Now we're facing another form of trying times together.

I want to assure you that after my experience in the Bone Marrow Transplant world my staff and I have been extremely germ conscience. We err on the side of assuming every package is going to someone with a compromised immune system and take great care in pouring, packaging, and shipping your candles.

During this crisis we are operating with a very small staff. We are well, and wash our hands regularly. There is a sink in our shipping area.

Though we are not allowing walk-in traffic in our store we are still shipping our candles via FedEx.

We would love to see pictures of how our candles are brining you peace. If you would like to tag us on social media the links are below, but we love seeing your pictures whether you share them publicly or just send for us to see.

We have met some of you in person, some of you are familiar voices on the phone, and others of you we recognize your names since you have supported us for many years.
Please know we pray for you and yours when you share the situations you're facing in your lives and will continue to do so.

We're sending much Light and Love during these difficult days.

Fondly,
Kathy Shaw
